Meet BESSIE, our
Cabin On Wheels

We purchased a new 2024 2500 Cargo Van with a 144″ wheel base. We worked with Narrow Road Van Conversions in White Bear Lake, MN for a custom design and build out.
Why the 144″ and not the 170″ wheel base?
This was a big decision that we couldn’t be more happy with. We wanted to be nimble in our travels, capable of parking in any normal parking spot and navigating any terrain, city street, or tight places. The 144″ is 19.5 feet long, just 2″ longer than my Ford F150 Lariat with extended cab. The obvious downside of this decision is interior space as the 170″ wheel base offers about 3′ more interior length. We believe Narrow Van Conversions nailed the design. They provided us with all the comforts and conveniences within the 144″ model.
Who is Narrow Road Van Conversions?
Erik is the founder and master craftsman at Narrow Road Van Conversions in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He was a great partner to work with. He asked questions about how we intended to use the van, listened to our needs and wants, and then came up with a design that provided us with all the conveniences and comforts we wanted.
